For aspiring instructors and devoted practitioners

Whether your goal is to lead a room with confidence or simply understand the mechanics of Vinyasa and the subtle energetics of Yin, this training is designed for you.

Deepen your practice

Move past the surface and understand your practice from the inside out.

Feel called to teach

You sense it's time to guide others, even if you're not sure where to start.

Ready to step into leadership

You want to lead a room with confidence, not just follow along in one.

Crave structure and community

You learn best inside a real group with a real plan, not alone.

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and have seen many studios across the country. District Flow is a wonderful local studio with a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. You’re in great hands with this studio.

Jessica Baxter Practitioner of 15 years

A full immersion. Not just poses.

Traditional depth meets modern, embodied practice. You'll graduate ready to teach with confidence and understand yoga at a level drop-in classes can't offer.

01

Asana, alignment + sequencing

Master the architecture of the poses. Learn how to build intelligent, safe, and creative flows that feel good in the body.

02

Pranayama + meditation

Move beyond the physical. Discover how to guide students through breathwork and stillness to regulate the nervous system.

03

Yoga philosophy + subtle body

Root your teaching in tradition. We explore the history, the sutras, and the energetic body to understand the 'why' behind the practice.

04

Anatomy for yoga

Understand functional movement. Learn how bodies actually work so you can offer safe modifications and confident hands-on adjustments.

05

Teaching methodology + practicum

Find your voice. This isn't just theory. You will practice teaching, get real-time feedback, and step onto the mat with confidence.

More than a certificate.

Yoga Alliance Certified

Graduate with a 200-hour certification registered through Yoga Alliance, the credential studios everywhere recognize. It travels with you: teach here in DC, in another city, or on your own terms, anywhere that asks for a registered 200-hour teacher. The work you do in these ten weeks becomes something you carry for the rest of your teaching life.

Real-World Practicum

You will not just study teaching, you will teach. The program builds toward a guided practicum where you lead real practice in front of real people, then sit down for honest, specific feedback from your instructors. By the end you have actually taught, not rehearsed in theory, which is the difference between finishing a course and being ready to run a room.

Foundational Tools

Learn the real mechanics of teaching: how to build a class that actually flows, how to hold a room and keep it with you, and how to foster the kind of genuine community people come back for. These are the working tools of a teacher, not abstract theory, and you leave with them in hand.

Day-One Confidence

Step onto the mat on your first day as a teacher already knowing what you are doing. You will have built sequences, taught real classes, and gotten feedback before you ever graduate, so you begin with clarity and purpose instead of scrambling. No script to hide behind, just the confidence that comes from having actually done it.

The teachers are the best in the area and the management is friendly and responsive. This training goes far beyond just learning poses. I only wish I could give more than five stars.

Before you apply

If you're a committed practitioner - not a beginner, but not necessarily the most advanced in the room - you're in the right place. The application asks about your practice honestly. There are no right answers.
No. Many students join to deepen their practice. This training serves both paths - called to teach, deepen, or both.
That's why we built it hybrid. Weekday learning is virtual. A make-up weekend is available, and up to two in-person days can be missed for good reason. It's a serious commitment - but it's designed for people who keep their lives.
The total cost of the program is $3,300. This is broken down into a non-refundable deposit of $500 due upon acceptance to secure your spot. The remaining $2,800 balance can be paid in full, or divided into two equal payments of $1,400 due on August 1 and September 1.
The team reviews your application and follows up with next steps. This is application-gated - we want to make sure the group is the right fit for you, and you're the right fit for us.
